Turkey Butternut Squash Chili

Ingredients
1 onion, chopped 
2 cloves garlic, minced 
1 pound ground turkey breast Turkey Ground 
1 pound butternut squash - peeled, seeded and cut into 1-inch dice 
1/2 cup chicken broth
1 (4.5 ounce) can chopped green chilies 
1 (14.5 ounce) cans rotel diced tomatoes 
1 (15 ounce) can kidney beans with liquid 
1 (15.5 ounce) can white hominy, drained 
1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce 
1 tablespoon chili powder 
1 tablespoon ground cumin 
1 teaspoon garlic salt

Utensils
Crockpot
Skillet
Spatula
Colander

Directions
Dice butternut squash into approx. 1 inch cubes

Add squash, chicken broth, green chilies, tomatoes, kidneybeans, hominy, tomato sauce, chili powder, cumin and garlic salt to the crockpot. Set slow cooker to low.

Cook turkey in skillet until fully cooked
Drain turker over sink in colander
Add turkey to slow cooker

Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Stir in the onion and garlic, cook until translucent.
Add onion/garlic mixture to slow cooker
Stir occasionally (once per hour or so)
Cook for 4-6 hours
